Fujitsu Siemens is gearing up for the approaching release of the new Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Xi 2550 laptop. “The Amilo Xi 2550 is a high-power desktop PC in a notebook skin,” says the Fujitsu Siemens website, but you’ll be able to see it for yourself, in the flesh, on January 6. The Amilo Xi 2550 laptop will come with integrated communications tools like a webcam and Bluetooth 2.0, and will offer high-speed mobile computing via Draft-N Intel next-generation Wireless-N, which is standard to Fujitsu Siemens laptops, and is up to five times faster and expands wireless coverage over the 802.11a/b/g. According to Laptops Arena, the Amilo Xi 2550 laptop, powered by Intel’s latest processor (the 45nm 2.5 GHz T9300 Core 2 Duo Penryn CPU) and configured with a dual-layer Blu-ray player, a Radeon HD2700 graphics card, 2GB RAM, 1GB Turbo Flash memory and two RAID 0/1 250GB drives will run you $2,420.
